Outdoor Sports Activities
Every year our school organizes a vibrant display of outdoor sports, showcasing the spirit of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among students. Various outdoor games like volleyball, throw ball, marathon and various track & field events was participated by our school this year.
The year started with an event organized by The Kalimpong District Chess Association hosted the 2nd District Chess Championship in the month of April in which our student, Miss Anjali Dulal Chhetri, secured 2nd position (Under 19 Category) amongst numerous other schools in Kalimpong.
The next event participated by our school in the month of July was the125 years Quasquicentennial Inter School Badminton Competition organized by Dr. Grahams Homes where the school’s badminton team, trained under the guidance of experienced teacher, performed exceptionally well in both singles and doubles categories. Their powerful smashes, quick reflexes, and teamwork drew appreciation from spectators and judges alike.
In the month of October, 1st Kalimpong District Level Inter School Athletic Meet 2025 was organized where Our students excelled, with Miss Jennifer Mangar of Class VIII winning a Silver Medal in the 800 Metres Sprint, and Miss Disha Pradhan of Class XI earning a Bronze Medal in the 600 Metres race making a proud moment for the entire school community.
The event in the month of November was the Ancient Silk Route Trail Run – 5km organised by Kalimpong District Police Marathon where our student Miss Disha Pradhan demonstrated remarkable perseverance and excellence by finishing 3rd inspiring us all to strive for greatness.
The school every year organizes Annual Sports Day with various events like 100m and 200m sprints, relay races, long jump, and shot put from Class nursery to Class XII. This year too our school organized Annual Sports Day with event beginning with the march past and the lighting of the torch, followed by various track and field events. Students from each houses participated actively, showcasing their talent, discipline, and team spirit from all four houses — Indira, Nevidita, Sarojini, and Teresa. Each house displayed exceptional energy and coordination, competing keenly in events like 100m and 200m sprints, relay races, long jump, and shot put. The volleyball and throw ball matches drew great excitement, with students demonstrating skill, teamwork, and determination. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where winners were honored for their achievements. The outdoor sports activities at Pranami Balika Vidya Mandir truly reflected the school’s commitment to holistic education and all-round development.
